Kohlert Bassoon, West Germany
Beautiful Kohlert bassoon. Stenciled "Koklert ,
Winnenden" on the bell and "Made in West
Germany" on boot joint. SN 78xxx .
This is standard German (Heckel)system bassoon. 24
keys including whisper key , 4 rollers
(F-Ab,
C#-Eb), extended low C key, metal water tubes on B
tone hole. Nichel/Silver-plated
keyworks are still in very good condition. Dark
mahogany finish . Body made from Alpine
maple wood with beautiful grain.
Recently been serviced, bores well oiled; All
pads replaced in past one year. Corks,
springs
also have been replaced as needed. This bassoon dose
not hava the high D key
but could be easily play up to high E .
This bassoon plays even scales, steady intonation
and produces rich and warm sound.
